Saeby Chemical supplies water treatment chemicals in bulk to municipal utilities, industrial plants, contractors and distributors across Denmark and Europe. Our range covers every main treatment stage: coagulation, pH control, disinfection, oxidation and remineralisation. Every batch comes with a Certificate of Analysis and Safety Data Sheet.

Chemicals for every treatment stage

1. Coagulation and flocculation

Coagulants neutralise the charge on fine particles so they clump together and settle. Aluminum chlorohydrate (ACH) is a high-performance coagulant that works well in cold water, barely affects pH and produces less sludge than alum. Ferrous sulfate is a cost-effective option for wastewater, especially where phosphate removal is required. Not sure which to use? Read our guide: ACH vs Alum: Which Coagulant Is Better?

2. pH and alkalinity control

Correct pH is essential for effective coagulation, disinfection and corrosion control. Liquid caustic soda is the most common choice for raising pH and is easy to dose with metering pumps. Sulfuric acid is used to lower pH. For long-distance supply or smaller sites, caustic soda flakes or pearls can be dissolved on site; see Flakes vs Pearls vs Liquid to compare.

3. Disinfection

Sodium hypochlorite is the most widely used liquid disinfectant for drinking water, wastewater effluent and cooling systems. It needs careful storage to keep its strength. Read How to Store and Handle Sodium Hypochlorite Safely.

4. Oxidation and odour control

Hydrogen peroxide oxidises hydrogen sulfide, cyanides, phenols and other contaminants without leaving harmful residues, because it breaks down into water and oxygen. Combined with ferrous sulfate, it forms Fenton’s reagent for treating hard-to-degrade industrial effluent.

5. Remineralisation and neutralisation

Calcium carbonate adds hardness and alkalinity to soft or desalinated water and neutralises acidic water, helping to protect pipes from corrosion.

Frequently asked questions

Can you supply chemicals for drinking water treatment?
Yes. For potable water, tell us the standard your plant requires (for example EN standards for drinking-water chemicals), and we will confirm which grades and certificates we can supply.

What quantities do you supply?
From pallet quantities up to full truck and container loads, depending on the product. Minimum order quantities are confirmed with each quotation.

Which countries do you deliver to?
We are based in Denmark and supply customers across Europe. Contact us with your delivery address for freight options.

Which coagulant should I use?
It depends on your water quality, temperature and pH. A jar test is the best way to decide; our ACH vs Alum guide explains how.
